Case Steps or Multi step process - Best practices
I am looking for the best practices or some sort of guidelines for introducing a multi step process in single step or breaking into multiple steps under one stage, for example a case officer under "Review Request" stage has three steps to follow - Verify the request, Process the request and Send for further processing. The same can be designed under one step using multi step process or broken into three different steps under the stage

I feel, yes, that can be done in either ways i.e all the three can be maintained under a single step, or can be maintained as 3 different steps under a stage. A flow with single assignment will be a single step process, and with multiple assignment, it will be a multistep process. If the user needs to complete only one form, it should be maintained as a single step process.
But it is the best practice to group the specific set of actions together or to divide the flow, such that, it is easy for the end user to understand, the completion of each milestone, according to the application specifications.
