Can we create view table by joing pega and external table

Can anyone suggest can we create a view table by joining with external table

@SuryaG89 When u say external table, do you mean a table outside the PEGADATA and PEGARULES schema but still within the other schemas PEGA is connecting to ?
If yes, I do not see why not , but a view can be avoided by simply creating a Report Definition and adding a join directly inside it.

@VTALUKDAR When i'm trying to use the join conditions. Below error is popping out when i run RD.
Error:
An error occured on executing the query for the report definition - There was a problem getting a list: code: 208 SQLState: S0002 Message: Invalid object name
I saw in PDN, it says we cannot join if they are 2 different databases...

@SuryaG89I think you can , provided you run a GRANT to the schema in which the table exists. You will need that anyway, in case you decide to create a VIEW in the DB instead of a Report Definition, as the VIEW object would reside in the PEGADATA schema presumably.
Here are the steps as I understand it :
(1) First add the GRANT on the external schema, so that PEGADATA schema can access it.
(2) Create a class which will map with this table. Create a Data-Admin-DB-Table rule, and establish the connection with the table.
(3) Now create a Report Definition , and add the JOIN condition within it.
The steps are sequential , and doing it out of order will not work.
