Is AES 7.1.7 running on Pega 7.2 supported?
Straight forward question.
Does Pega support AES 7.1.7 running on Pega 7.2?

AES 7.1.7 has not been tested on 7.2.
Based on past experience it should work, but is always the possibility of backward compatibility issues in Pega.
The next release of AES will be tested on 7.2.
We are planning this release for late Q1 or very early Q2.

I see why not? It is just another application and it should run. I think the real questions are: have we tested the combination and support the configuration? I am hoping Whistleblowers can give us a straightforward answer.

what about AES 7.1.7 monitoring a 7.2 node?
I've seen that Pega 7.2 introduces new DSM specific alerts (PEGA0058 ... PEGA0065)
Beside that is this scenario supported?

It can monitor a 7.2 system, but will not do anything with new alerts that are in 7.2.
The next release of AES will support them.

should be AES 7.2, but the actual version number is subject to change. Wait for the final official announcement on pdn when the release is available.

Kevin, how far off are we with AES 7.2? I need to make a decision whether I get the customer to upgrade to 7.1.9 (from 7.1.6) as the AES host node or whether we're better off to wait for AES 7.2.

Btw, installed AES 7.1.7 on a Pega 7.2.1 instance monitoring mainly 7.1.7 and 7.1.8 instances and have no found any issues so far.
