Pega 7.1.7 Upgrade to Pega 7.2

Hi Guys,

Anyone performed Pega 7.1.7 to Pega 7.2 upgrade ?

If yes, any suggestions while doing upgrade?


Any issues  post upgrade?, if yes what are those?


Any functional limitations in Pega 7.2 comparing with Pega 7.1.7?


Any special precautions while upgrade apart things mentioned in upgrade guide ?

1. Follow the update guide .

2. Keep your database healthy ( properly indexed )

1. As far as our inhouse application is concern, we have not face any issue. However it can vary from application to application. Especially if your application contains old deprecated rules like listview or handwritten custom HTML codes etc then those components might not work perfectly.


>> Any functional limitations in Pega 7.2 comparing with Pega 7.1.7?

. Compared to 717 the functionality and other related stuff actually enhanced in 7.2


>> Any special precautions while upgrade apart things mentioned in upgrade guide ?

Take DB backup thats the only thing I can think of.

Dhevendra Earva any thoughts ?

Adding some other questions:

Approximately how many rules (of 7.1.7) are deprecated in Pega 7.2, and could you please provide list of them if possible ?

Approximately how many rules (of 7.1.7) are not compatible in Pega 7.2, and could you please provide list of them if possible ?

We have recently performed an update for another customer  from Pega 7.1.7 to Pega 7.2 and did not see any issues.

If your application is developed in Pega 7 not upgraded from previous Pega 6/Pega 5 release then there are  no rules  deprecated from Pega 7.1.7 to Pega 7.2 and also there wont be any compatibility issues.

After update your application should work without any issues.

Hi,

I am planing to give CSSA v7.1 exam I have given CSA v6.2 .I have changed my PDN id as I have changed the job, also I have created new pearson account as it is not mapped with new pdn id I am not able to enroll to the exam.

My new pdn id: sudarshan.**@***.com

My old pdn id:sudarshanchakradharro.***@***.com

plz help me
