AES 7.1.7
I'm looking for instruction and advice around purging data from AES repository.
We copied our AES database from QA to Prod so i like to get rid of the QA data.
Going forward I'd like to maintain around 30 days of history.
Does anyone have experience doing either of these things and could provide some information? The AES documents that i could find describe installation only.

Try understanding Cleanup AES Data – Nightly Agent to see the logic it uses. Cluster name and update datetime columns in AES data tables could also be queried to get the qualifying records.

Thanks Vipin, but i'm not a pega developer. I was really looking for a description of the purge functions found in the AES Manager Portal and what they do exactly.

Immediate purge is available for Action Items, Exception Items, Alerts and Exceptions.
It is in the administration tab -> 'AES ENTERPRISE ADMINISTRATION TASKS' section -> 'Alerts', 'Exceptions' columns.
Periodic purging is available for many other objects (including above four).
In the same section 'AES ENTERPRISE ADMINISTRATION TASKS' click on 'System Settings' in 'Management' column.

Can someone elaborate on the function of the following:
Purge Action Work
Purge Alerts
Purge Exception Work
Purge Exceptions
Purge All Work.
Until i get an explanation for what they do and how they work, i'm afraid to click on them. Do they open onother screen for selection or do they just start purging things?

I've updated the system settings under admin to keep less data. When can i expect these changes to apply. When does the purge happen? I expect that one of the prpc agents controls the purge process. Which one or ones is it please?
