Pega 7.1.7 to Pega 7.1.9 update
Hello - Has anyone updated the Pega V 7.1.7 to V 7.1.9 , my concern is how to deal with existing hot fixes which we have received for a specific version?
Do we need to request for same SR again for new ML version? Also how to roll back if existing SR stop working as expected?

Suggest you post your list of hotfixes. Most of the hotfixes should have been fixed in 7.1.9 but you are absolutely right to check if they are already included in 7.1.9.

In general all hot fixes which were provided for a previous version will be included in the latest version. Of course there can be hot fixes provided for say 7.1.7 which came out after the release of 7.1.9. When you run the update from 7.1.9 it will look for changes that are in your environment which came out after the release of 7.1.9 and if it finds any it will stop the update and inform you of the changes which will be lost by the update. You can use the -force flag to force the update to 7.1.9 but then you will need to either redo the local changes or request that the appropriate hot fixes be ported to 7.1.9.
