Upgrade or update from 7.1.7 to 7.1.9
Hi,
We are planning to upgrade from version 7.1.7 to version 7.1.9. Shall we go for an update or upgrade, provided we are using BIX in our application.

7.1.7 to 7.1.9 is an update.

Thank you for your response. What about BIX? Update guide says "You must upgrade if your system includes BIX."

Regardless of whether you run an update or an upgrade of the Pega Platform you always need up upgrade BIX to the same version of the Pega Platform. That is if you update or upgrade to Pega 7.1.9 then you need to upgrade to BIX 7.1.9. The update media does not include the BIX media so you will need to get the full Pega 7.1.9 media which could be used for installs, upgrades, and includes BIX under Additional Products.
