In Pega 7.4, when you try to log in as firstname.lastname@example.org at the first time, you are prompted to change it to pretty complex one (at least 10 characters, etc).
Once changed, I want to change it back to something else but it seems there is no user interface to change it anywhere. So I tried to hack it, like private edit pyPwdNew Validate rule but it is not possible no matter what. So, in the end, email@example.com is designed not to be changed after initial change? Keeping password as the same for good is against general password policy. Please let me know how to change it by a regular practice.

You can set a Password Security policy to change the password after "x" days i.e password will expire after "x" days so that you will get a prompt to change the password. Please refer to the link below :
1. Login as Administrator@pega.com 2. Select Profile from the drop-down next to the operator name to view the Operator Profile 3. Select the Change Password button 4. Enter the password information and click Save.
