To get User information from browser where Pega Webchat is running, in Pega plaform
We are running Pega webchat in one web application.(Non-Pega) We have requirement to identify the user in Pega, so that in chat responses we can display contextual information. Has any one idea about it, how can we achieve it ?

Yes the document was helpful. But we are looking for a more secure way to pass the parameters from web application to Pega application.

Hi,
this can be done using ContactID parameter available within PegaHelperExternsion.js
PegaHelperExternsion.js will be available as part of your chat configuration zip file.
you must ask external website engineer to set the value for contactID parameter during chat initiation.
Pega will read the param value and you can find the same property under chat with agent case or interaction case.
