Clearing the chat history from Pega webchat channel, once user has logged out from base web application.
We have put Pega webchat mashup code in one web application. Where user is logging in and doing chat. The requirement is to delete the chat history from the browser memory, once the user has logged out. Currently the chat history remains there only till the time we close the browser. Has anyone any idea, how can we remove previous chat from chat box ?

@vsrirama chat history is not stored in browser memory. It's retrieved from currently active Interaction case which is closed or invalidated after Interaction timeout occurs. User will be presented with new chat after that time has elapsed since last chat. For instance, if 60 mins is the configured timeout and user logs out and relogin in same browser window.
If they login after 60th mins -> new chat session starts
If they login before 60th min -> old chat session resumes
That is the default platform behavior. It may be possible to close 'live' Interaction case when user logs in, I'll let @Piotr Kulig to comment further.

@vsriramaI'm not sure if this is still an issue, but there's a solution for this. You will need to make some minor changes to the PegaHelper.JS file that runs the mashup along with your own web application code. In the PegaHelper, you will need to add a small JS function to call the logoff action on that bot:

Then, just call that resetBot function from the logoff action on your site.

We are directly initiating the Live Chat on a specific page of our host site from a button click by passing "Talk to Agent" in SetCommandOnLoad.
Can we close/kill the existing user session and create a new one every time the user clicks on "Live Chat" button ?
Current issue that we are facing is if user has opened a webchat session on the host site home page and after that user goes to the specific live chat page and clicks on the Live Chat button then the webchat session continues. So we want to close any existing user session every time user clicks on Live chat button and re-initiate a new session.

@AbhilashR1892 You can look for BotStarted session storage page and if it's started, your live chat button will need to call the reset function before calling the invokeAdvisor function. You will need to ensure that you allow for enough time to process the logoff event before starting the new bot session.
