Pega 7.2.2 fresh installation via upgrade Assistant(IUA)
We are doing a fresh installation of pega 7.2.2 from app servers by running the IUA upgrade assistant, as soon as we invoke command java -jar PRPC_Setup.jar as per pega upgrade guide. We are not getting the GUI interface as given the document, all we could see from the pega-install.log file is as below.. Nothing moves after that and moreover in the command prompt we see as below

What OS are you doing this on?
Does launching the jar file the OS UI (instead of command prompt) do anything?
Have you moved files around, or are you launching from the distribution media?

OS Version redhat linux 6.
Yeah we tried those by double clicking on the PRPC_Setup.jar using winscp, but it is not launching the UI rather opening a junk file.

We unzipped the file again and tried the installation through UI. Since we are getting an error "No graphics environment available, reverting to text". Since it is running as text as per the screenshot provided, we are unable to edit the database details through command line.
We are running through linux command line. What are all the enviromental variables we need to set to make UI functional.

Hi,
Have you configured the Data Base details and try launching PRPC_Setup.jar from Pega Media itself.
Also verify JDK classpath is configured properly.

Try starting the tool from the command line instead of double clicking on it. At a command prompt go to the directory that contains the PRPC_Setup.jar and then type : java -jar PRPC_Setup.jar

Seems like Sravanan is trying with java -jar PRPC_Setup.jar command from the command prompt, saravanan could you make sure that your media file is not being corrupted as i see you are not using windows operating system there might be some chance of corruption during copy.
Generally i can see the below log in the pega.install.log

Seems like your execution is being stopped at org.tp23.antinstaller.runtime.exe.ExecuteRunnerFilter class, may be you can explore this class from the PRPC_Setup.jar

We tried running from command prompt, if you see the description of the post, after running from command prompt, we are not getting the UI installation wizard., that is the problem here

Please check the media size seems to be it's not extracted properly, try extracting again from zip file and let us know the status.

In Linux system seems to be there is problem with your OS, please try to install it from Windows, by sharing the remote database details.
Also could you please share the media file size after and before extracting ?
