Problem while installing Pega 7.2.2

Sorry, I misspoke. I've reviewed a good install log and the output looks the same as yours for that portion of the installation and the setupDatabase.properties you provided looks fine.
At this stage I believe it will be writing some jar files under the temp directory, for you I think it will be: /var/folders/h3/kk34gsjd1h5_j1ptqpqgx46w0000gn/T//PegaInstallTemp-12-June-2017-12.48.38/load/lib
What permissions does the user running the install have on this and sub folders?
How long has it sat at that point in the installation process?

Hi thanks for the reply. We were running on Mac OSX initially actually. We then tried as well on a Linux box, which also stops at the same spot. We waited for an hour or so, just to check if there is some background activities. This is what we see from the pg_stat_activity:

The insert activity is in 'idle in transaction'. Could this mean there is a network problem?

This is indeed a network connection problem. So, we were deploying from Europe to our cloud provider in US East. We tried to wait for more than 2 hours, but still no activities after the frozen spot aforementioned. Once, we spin off a linux box also in US East, installing from command line to our US East cloud provider, we still have to wait for 15-20 minutes in that frozen spot, but it continues again.
Maybe a suggestion to the Pega team, maybe put a note in the log when having activities in the background (Postgres).

You missed a very crucial point about assigning enough table space for the script to run. You need at-lease 10GB set to auto extend. Without that it will sit at this point for ever struggling to get resources on DB.
