How to Send SMS from PEGA 7 (DSM/NBAA 7.12) to SMS Gateway

We need to Send outbound SMS from PEGA 7 (DSM/NBAA 7.12) to the SMS GAteway how we can do that? Is there any default PEGA provided activity for this to which we can send parameters and/or configure the activity ?

This is possible to do through creation of an activity and connector to connect to the SMS provider API.  We have done it with Twilio for demos, but nothing is available in base platform.
