In older versions we had configuration setting in prconfig to disable or enable agents in a particular node.

However in newer version (not sure from 6 or even before) we could not disable all the agents in one node as we had to have few pega ootb agents like system pulse up and running to synchronize rules in a multi node environment.

I guess from V7.1.7, Hazelcast is used for synchronizing rules across nodes, However we still need system pulse agent just to maintain health statistic of that node.

Hence the query would be is there a way by which we can disable all agents after upgrade to pega 7 in one node in a multi node environment without impacting the functionality.

Another cheeky way of doing is to have an additional agent which checks the node id or node name and if its user node….it can Stops all other application agents.. we have few functions to stop agents programmatically.
