ValidPhonenumber edit validate rule not accepting + symbol
Hi
I have a property and I have added edit validate rule as ValidPhoneNumber, but when I enter a phone number as like +1xxxxxxxxxx with + as prefix, getting error as enter valid phone number.
As per the edit validate rule script 0th position + is allowed,
can anyone help with what could be the issue.

@SrinidhiM There is an edit validate rule ValidPhoneNumber coming from Pega and it looks like @VeerendraC is using the same.
I have validated the rule in the latest Pega version and even I see the issue. Looks like this is a bug. I am following it up and will keep this thread updated on this as soon as possible.

@SrinidhiM @VeerendraC On further analysis observed that the validation is being invoked from the client side and not the server side, hence, server-side validations are not picked.
We came to the conclusion when we observed that there is no call to the server when there is a change in the phone number.
I assume that any validations happening without server calls are client-side validation and with server calls are server-side. The same logic with a different rule name is working as expected.
Looks like there is some client-side validation with the same rule getting invoked. We are working on this and will keep the thread updated.

@VeerendraC We have updated the client-side validation rule to align with the server-side validation rule. Changes are part of the upcoming release.
If there is any need to have the fix in the previous release version, we may need to raise an incident for HFix. Let us know the requirement.
