Upgrade the pega version from 7.2.1 to 7.3 topics
hi,
My team intends to upgrade the pega version from 7.2.1 to 7.3 , When the application has been created in pega 7.2.1 we have migrated to UAT and PRODUCTION .
Is there an impact when the application created in environment 7.2.1 is changed to 7.3? Is there any impact also on pega 7.2.1 already installed on the server?
What is updated on pega when version upgrade? Hopefully anyone can share about this .

but I just want to make sure when upgrading, pega update on pegarule and pegadata database for 7.2.1?

Hi,
From 7.2.1 to 7.3, you can follow the update process instead of upgrade, I hope there is no impact but you need to choose the compatible version by following support guide.

Hi Ryan,
When you perform the upgrade, the rules/data from 7.2.1 will be updated to the codeset of 7.3 which means your 7.2.1 environment will be changed to 7.3 environment and all the corresponding rules/data will be migrated to 7.3 compatible.

so, the conclusion is When upgrading from 7.2.1 into 7.3 , only the rules/data on application PEGA will be updated ?
and While the application that we created (with the Rules itself) did not come impact?

It will update the code of your created applications also which are available in the environment database.
