Hi all. We are currently planning to upgrade from 7.1.9 to 7.2.1. We currently have 7.1.9 deployed in split schema mode for high availability purposes. In reading through the upgrade/update guides, after the rules schema has been upgraded there is a step to shut down the applicaiton and update the Data schema.

Can the data schema be updated while the application is still running? This would allow us to keep some servers alive and perform a rolling upgrade (ie, take half of the servers, shut them down, point to new rules schema and restart) then quiesce the users over to the new nodes.
