Modifying Properties files for Pega 7.2.1 Upgrade
We are upgrading our Pega application from 6.3 SP1 to 7.2.1 version using a split-schema out-of-place Compliance Level 1 upgrade and need some clarification regarding below properties file as to what value we should use in these files while running the upgrade and migrate scripts.
migrateSystem.properties
- pega.source.jdbc.driver.jar=
- pega.target.jdbc.driver.jar=
- pega.bulkmover.directory=
- pega.migrate.temp.directory=
setupDatabase.properties
- pega.jdbc.driver.jar=
- user.temp.dir=
If anyone can assist us on this, it would be really helpful. A qick response is highly appreciated.

Hi Sanjay,
migrateSystem.properties
- pega.source.jdbc.driver.jar = Source driver path (old db)
- pega.target.jdbc.driver.jar = Target driver jar path (New db)
- pega.bulkmover.directory = directory to bulk move
- pega.migrate.temp.directory = temp directory output
setupDatabase.properties
- pega.jdbc.driver.jar = Path and file name of the jdbc driver
- user.temp.dir = Optional: the location of the temp directory. If you leave this blank, the Pega 7 Platform uses the default.Pegasystems recommends that you set this to C:\TEMP. or create a PegaTemp Directory and specify this path

Thank you. We got the properties files updated correctly few days back and the script also ran fine.
