Unable to launch modal flow action in portal
Hello, I have a problem here that needs your help. Any of your suggestions will help me. Thank you very much. There is a LINK control on the portal section ,and the LINK click event is set as follows: ①using page:Page&Class's Page name ②Class name:Page&Class's Class name ③Flow Action:a flow action name. When I click on the portal screen, it pops up with a fail , as shown in figure 1. See log through tracer, as shown in figure 2. Figure 3 is the detailed information of fail, figure 4 is the Java code for the activity of fail. What I want to know is, what's the reason for this situation? Is there something wrong with my flow action?my flow action just open a section.

Hi Rachit,

thank you very much for answer my question.

This problem has been solved, the method is to create a DataPage, Object type is XYZ-Demo-Work-CommonM, source is Data Transform.

I guess it should be no instance of XYZ-Demo-Work-CommonM .

Can you use OOTB Flow action ActionStab and try to launch it on click of the link ? What is the outcome ?

hello Santanu. Thank you very much for taking the time to solve my problem. But I don't really understand what OOTB means, is it Out-Of-The-Box? or let me use the Flow Action of the Pega system .and see the outcome.

Hi,

All the rules in PEGA other than the one which you are creating are considered as OOTB rules. For example, the OOTB rule will generally belong to Ruleset starting with Pega or UI(for the user interface).
Also, Null pointer exception may come due to various reasons, we cannot be sure what is causing the issue unless we have the complete tracer of the use case. 
So, as suggested earlier try to use ActionStub flow action and let us know the result.

hello Santanu. OOTB flowaction is able to open the section. So, what is the reason for nullpointer and how to solve this problem? I hope to answer in time. Regards. Deng.

Sorry for the delayed response.
Can you please remove the Page and Class parameters and see if it is working. If it does not please share the snapshot of your flow action.

Hi Deng,

Sorry for the delayed response. What I meant is in the local action - event you have configured on click you have given 2 parameters. 

1) Using Page: CommonM

2)Class Name: XYZ-Demo-Work-CommonM. 

These are not required parameters so can you try keeping them as blank and try your use case. Please let me know in case of further clarifications.
