Unable to invoke robotic automation from this screen (Pega 7.3 with Pega Robotics Studio 8)
I am getting below error. Pega 7.3 with Pega Robotics Studio 8
- Unable to invoke robotic automation from this screen. The automation service is either unavailable or this system is not authorized to execute automations. You have the option of either quitting or continuing with your work flow.

Hi Muniramaiah,
This error occurs when you try to automate the automation in pega studio but your automation is not running in the robotics studio.
Please first start the automation in the robotic studio then try to automate it through pega server.

Below are the possible reasons:
- Run time should be available in Pega Robotics
- JSON file (IsAvailable) should be available
- Operator id should have access to Pega Robotics

Hi Muniramaiah,
I met the same error today, and finally found the reason for my case.
Hope this can help you.
1. Be sure you can get a response like "Runtime REST service is available" from these urls.
https://localhost:9443/api/v1/runtime/IsAvailable
https://localruntime.pega.com:9443/api/v1/runtime/IsAvailable
2. In Pega designer studio check the value of "pegarobotics/runtime/DesktopRoboticsURL"
which you can find in Records->Dynamic System Settings
in my case, the value was localruntime.pega.com:8080, which pointed to a wrong port.
So I just changed the port to 9443, and everything worked.
