Too many batch requestors are generated in the Queue Processor
Hi Guys,
I've created a Queue Processor with no. of threads as "20" as in the worst case, 150k records would be queued to this queue processor by a Job Scheduler.
Once my Job Scheduler executes, I see that a lot of batch requestors are generated in the system. Can anyone help me understand how many batch requestors will be generated against the "no. of threads" configuration in the Queue Processor?

Hi,
There are 4 types of requestor in pega : Browser(H) Batch(B) Application(A) Portal(P)
Normally developers or end users access Pega platform using a browser (IE, Chrome). So as soon as we hit the Pega URL, a requestor of type ‘browser’ is created.
Typically internal background process (Queue processor/ job scheduler/Agents) comes under Batch requestors.
For HTTP access as a portlet in conjunction with Service Portlet rules.
As you have higher number of threads , it might be resulting the higher number of batch requestor.

Thank you for your reply. By any chance, are you aware of the equation between "no. of threads" in the Queue Processor and the No. of Batch Requestors generated? The no. of items queued to the Queue Processor happens to be one of the factors?
This is critical for me as based on this I will change the design of queue processors in my requirement accordingly so as to accommodate my customer's scalability requirement. Thanks in advance.
