View Queue Processor entries

We're running 8.5.2 and are using dedicated queue processors. We had a situation lately with a rogue queued item causing some issues. There doesn't seem to be a way to view the Kafka topic for that queue processor within Developer or Admin Studio. There is a Browse function for Kafka Data Sets that at least allows you to do a rudimentary view of items.

Does anyone know of a function within the Pega Platform allowing the browsing and even management of Queue Processor items?

I don't think there is any OOTB view but you can built one using OOTB data set functionality.

  1. Create a kafka instance (Data-Admin-Kafka). The required kafka server connection details can be found in the Server.properties file. Note that server.prorperties file is stored inside kafka-<version> folder of your PRPC installation folder on PEGA server.
  2. Create a Data set instance (Rule-Decision-DataSet) where you need to select the kafka instance you created at step 1. And, choose your existing topic under topic section.
  3. Save and run the data set with Browse option selected.

Attached document shows the test setup I have done in my PRPC 8.6 personal edition.
