Sorting in Segments
Dear Team,
In our project, we have a requirement that the segment population must be sorted on a customer property, so that, some customers are contacted before the others. Any suggestions, how to handle this requirement without having to customize the OOTB code?
We are using Pega Marketing 8.3. We tried the following things -
1. We tried to use non-visual rule form. There we have the option to select top/bottom ranked entries sorted on a property.
2. However what we found is that, firstly, the sort is not working, secondly it does not allow us to add more than 1 sort criteria and finally, it generates a lot of warning messages and hence we would like to avoid that.

Can you further explain what you mean by "some customers are contacted before the others."? What is the use case for this?
FYI. Segments are just populations and have no bearing on order or priority.

For example, we have some conditions specified in the segment rule that qualify 50K customers out of 10M. out of this 50K customers, we would like to prioritize the customers whose tenures are expiring in 15 days. How can we handle this requirement without customizing the framework?

Seems like you would accomplish your requirement with a simple criteria that filters customers to only those with tenures expiring in 15 days. Use the relative date operator and specify 15 days and that should give you all customers that meet this need. There is no prioritization here, its just the customers that meet that criteria.

This approach, unfortunately, would not work in our case. the criteria on tenure is not really a filter criteria, rather a prioritization criteria. As stated in my above example, let's say, a filter criteria in the segment (say, age>30) filters out 10K customers to be contacted, out of which some has tenure 15days, some 20 days, some 28 days and so on.
The requirement is to contact the customers having tenure = 15 days first, followed by 20 days and 28 days. Hope it is clear now.
