Rich push notification

Hello,

 

We need to build some push notification feature with images and rich texts. Is it available in pega OOTB? If I send the whole content in html version, we are getting it along the tags in the mobile. Can someone help me with it?

Hello @JuanaMaria@PriyajitB, in the Mobile Client notifications can only have action buttons but other layouts than title and descriptor are not yet supported. I'm considering that a feedback and adding to the backlog. I'd like to get answers to a few questions to better understand your use case. 

How would you like to send such a rich notification? Using the send push notification shape/step? How would you configure the notification with an image? Would you pass an url to an image hosted on some external web server? Would it be a binary in Pega?

Our use case is this:

Current situation:

  • We are using Pega Marketing 8.4 for NBA Inbound/Outbound call center channel.
  • Customer has a mobile app (not a Pega one) where push notifications are send.
  • Customer (Business Marketing departmen) uses a tool (wisiwyg) where they define and launch outbound push campaigns 
    • Defines the audience (this is done by adding a file with audience)
    • Define notifications using rich interface (formated text, links to open de app, images, videos etc)
    • When to launch the campaign and lifetime

Business goal:

  • Use Pega Marketing to create outboun campaigns sending push notitications to their mobile app (no Pega mobile app), with rich content ((formated text, links to open de app, images, videos etc) and getting feedback related to what has been done with this notification (ignored, open, click on link or action...). Our first approach is to use push notification shape.
