Restricting Case Create Access for specific users
Hi,
This is my Application Level1-Level2-Main-Work and I have 3 case types under these
Level1-Level2-Main-Work-CASE1 ( case Prefix : CA1- )
Level1-Level2-Main-Work-CASE2 ( case Prefix : CA2- )
Level1-Level2-Main-Work-CASE3 ( case Prefix : CA3- )
When I click Create , the drop down will show these 3 Starter flows. Now for one user, I want to restrict access to CASE3. When that user logs in and click create only CASE1 and CASE2 should appear. I have created role for this user that doesnt have access access to CASE3, still the create lists 3 case types ... In addition to that role I have PegaRULES:User4 for this user, will that be bacause of this? Pls assist !!!! Thanks in Advance.

Add a privilege to the flow pyStartCase under the Process tab > security section for each Case Type (they can be the same name e.g. CreateCase.)
Add the privilege to the relevant Rule Access Role Objects for those roles that are allowed to create.

I agree with the solution, but if we add a privilege, it still shows all the available case types in the create list right?
Is there a configuration to restrict from displaying the case types based on user roles?

If you have pyStartCase flow with the Privelege CreateCase for class Level1-Level2-Main-Work-CASE1, and your user role does not have that privelege for that class, you will not see it in the create menu.
