Request for Hotfix Comparison Tool
Hi Everyone,
This is my first time writing a post so please excuse any faults I may or have already made. Now to the question: We have received the hotfix inventory for Production environment from client. Our team has generated the hotfix inventory for QA environment both of these inventory files have been '.PEGA' extensions. We would like to compare these two hotfix inventories and observe the differences. Our Pega base product version is 7.1.7 and CPM version is 7.1.3.

There is no tool (that I know of) that can do this for you in one-go.
However:you can load the INVENTORY files into a PRPC system ; and request a 'System Scanner'. (use the 'upload inventory file' option).
This will produce a report (which you can 'screen-scrape' to a text file) showing the 'Installed/Partially Installed/Not Installed' HFIXes contained in the INVENTORY file.
If you repeat the process for the second INVENTORY file ; you can then 'screen-scrape' again to get the text output.
Then you can compare the lists manually as text files (or use a script or whatever).

Thanks a lot for the quick response. The method you described worked in a sort of indirect way. I was able to get the inventory details and manually seperate them by comparing the two. Thank you again.
