Hi All,
We are currently upgrading from PEGA v719 to PEGA v722. Is it required for us to run reindexing again on work related data to use PEGA OOTB Search capability?
Thanks,
Krishna
Hi Krishna,
By default, search indexing is enabled and indexing starts when you start the application server after upgrading. The first node that starts after upgrade becomes the default initial search node. The default index directory is PegaSearchIndex in your temporary directory.
After the search indexes are completely built, you can change the default settings. Do not stop or bring down the default node until the search indexes build completely.
You can check the status in the Search Landing Page.
Let me know if this helps.
Hi Ajay,
We have huge set of data available in production. We already have indexes built in PEGA v719, can we use the same indexes for PEGA v722 if there is no change in the search definition.
Thanks,
Krishna Mohan K
Hi Krishna,
Indexes are also migrated as part of the upgrade so the search indexing shouldn't take much time once the application server comes up and the default search node is determined.
