Queue Processors Stopping
Hi,
We have observed that in our 8.1 platfrom in admin studio, queue processors are stopping on their own. When we restart them, it works for a few minutes and stops again. We also have been saying web nodes getting added automatically as search nodes along with the batch node. Ideally, only the batch node should be configured as the search node but that is not happening. Could you please help us on the same?

Please provide more details regarding your environment. Also provide more error details. Maybe a few screenshots would help as well. With more details we can then help you efficiently.

Hi,
So our environment is production HTZ and there are no errors that we see as such in logs. It is just that when we switch to admin mode from dev mode, we see that the queue processors are not running, even after starting them manually.
I have attached a screenshot of the same.

Please first show the Dataflow associated with the QP, and click the View LifeCycleEvents and attach the screenshots.
See the relevant screens here

Hi Kevin,
Thank you for the prompt response and sorry for not been able to respond in time. I don't see a View Lifecycle Events at all. Attaching the screenshot of the data flow.
Thanks!

Hi Abhinav,
The only error we see in logs is DB connectivity issue and looks like it has nothing to do with Queue processors. Our nodes were down and now they're up. I will share the screenshot of the data flow shortly.

Hi Rashi,
Did you define background nodes, search node,DDS node etc using -DNodeType or you can set -DNodeType=Universal in JVM argument. Can you try this.
Thanks,
Abhinav

One quick follow-up question, do we make the DNodeType=Universal on Web Node or Batch Node?

Hey Abhinav,
We cannot make DNodeType=Universal as we need the nodes to work as batch and web in a dedicated manner.
Is there any other way we could make sure web nodes don't get added to search?

Hi Rashi,
Pega recommendation is to have 2 stream nodes configured start from Pega 8 version. But we must have atleast one stream node running always.
So need to have DNodeType=Universal (Batch, backgroup, stream,Serarch, webUser) or one dedicated node for stream
