Post Upgrade Steps
Hi,
I have an application developed in PEGA 714. We have taken the RAP file and wish to import the same into a fresh PEGA 72 instance. The previous installation did not underdo the upgrade; we have installed a new version as a separate instanc.
What are the steps that we should follow?
We have got our schem rebuild manually using the DDLs on the PEGA 72 database.

Hi Kevin,
The issue is resolved now. We had created the Data schema as DATA72 to avoid conflict with the 714 database since both the versions are installed on the same host. But we have realized that this was not necessary as the Database is separate for both the versions.
Updated the Data-Admin-DB-Table instance and set the mapping right! And voila we are good!
Only one more input required: If we just import the Work table from the previous Pega714 into the database for Pega72 we should be able to get access to all our cases right?

In theory, this should just work. You are not doing any update/upgrade at all. Are you running into any issues after you imported your RAP file to pega 72? If yes, please elaborate.

The issue:
After we have imported the RAP and login with one of the operator IDs of the application built in 714 we see the rule base present but the flow wouldn't run. We are unable to create any new case as we cannot run the case type rules and only a default case is shown.
Anything to do regarding the rule set pre requisites? Or anything else ?

I would start with your application rule (e.g., can you save the application rule without any errors?) and also check your ruleset stack. Also when your scenario does not run, are there any errors in the pega logs? What does the tracer tell you? That normally will give you some clues.
