Pega Mobile offline app background sync
Hi all
We have a pega Mobile offline enabled app. Our observation is that the app syncs data with the server only if it’s running in the foreground. If a case officer returns from a remote location where there is no network access when he/she worked on the case, is it mandatory that they have to open the app when back at the desk to sync the data? Have any one configured settings on the device/app so that it can sync automatically when network is available and the app is running in the background?

Hi Tarun,
Sync won't be running in the background. This is for both Android and iPhone. As soon as app goes in to foreground sync will be scheduled. I confirmed this with mobility product engineer too.

Shyju is correct, however you can configure the frequency of the synchronizations when the app is in the foreground. I believe, by default, that it is every five seconds and on submit of an assignment, or at least it was when I was working on the US Census project. There may have been some changes to the default configuration since then, but I do believe it is configurable. This might help you in determining how to configure synchronizations.
