Pega to Kafka connectivity over AVRO/PROTOBUF

Hello,

We are doing Pega(version 7.3.1) to Kafka connectivity and observed only JSON data format is compatible in this case. But in our project we are using AVRO and PROTOBUF as data format for Kafka.

Could you please let us know is there any future plan to support these formats in Kafka?

Hi Saikat,

As of now only JSON format is supported. Enhancement request FDBK-25820  has already been raised for Product Management consideration for future release.

Hi Saikat,

I would recommend that you talk to your account executive to make sure that you are notified when there is a public announcement of new and upcoming releases.  While this is probably not the response that you were looking for, disclosing information like release plans that have not been publicly announced could be considered insider information.

Also, you could follow up on the FDBK stated by Sushant with your Pega Account Executive.
