Pega GenAI Knowledge Buddy
Hi,
Anyone tried using GenAI Knowledge buddy. I can see only product demo and a video by Don Schuerman.

Need technical details on how to set this up.

Why there is no documentation for this? We can reach out to them once we have the proper steps right? I can see this is released in Jan 2024 but no detailed steps available.

According to the January 24, 2024 Press Release :
Pega Knowledge Buddy is the latest generative AI-powered capability in the Pega InfinityTM portfolio of products, building on over 20+ new capabilities in Pega GenAI. It will be available on Pega Cloud in the Pega Infinity ’24.1 release in H1 2024
We are still in the H1 of 2024 and waiting for Pega Infinity ’24.1

@ColasM44 this is strange as for me and other Pega employees the link is correctly redirecting to the Live documentation. What troubleshooting have you carried out so far?
- Can you access the main Pega Documentation server?
- can you try clearing your browser cache?
- did you test with any other laptops or other browsers
- did you run a browser network trace to find out where the 403 error occurs?

@ColasM44 I will report this internally to find out if we have made any changes, but so far you're the only one who has reported this issue:
- Can you access the main Pega Documentation server?
- do any of your colleagues have the same issue on our documentation server?

@MarijeSchillern: Am getting the same error as well. Pls recheck the link provided by Brendan. If we search for 'Knowledge buddy' in pega docs- It's coming up under sales automation. I hope that's where we have to refer.
I tried the mission for Pega Knowledge buddy. Last week, While publishing a knowledge article(After configuring Category and content type)- a data source was getting created. But today, the data source is not getting created on Publishing(pega academy enablement server) and no ids to create a data source also.

@RSENTHILKUMAR many thanks for your update. Please can you clarify - when you click on the link provided under 'Sales Automation' section - does it open?
Can you also provide the full URL?
Can you please attach a screenshot showing what you see when you search 'Pega Knowledge Buddy' on the main portal and it comes under Sales Automation?
Regarding your issue with the data source- can you confirm you're doing this on the Pega Academy VM? If so, please can you use the 'contact the Pega Academy support team.' link provided in the FAQ pages?

@RSENTHILKUMAR Thank you for sharing the situation about creating data sources.
Short answer: Please check if you added Knowledgebuddy:Public as an authorized role when you created the new taxonomy category, please do so if you didn't.
Long answer: We made an update to the Academy practice environments on Wednesday last week. In this new version, as a security measure the authorized role Knowledgebuddy:Public must be added to the taxonomy category for content ingestion to happen. The instructions for this are described at https://academy.pega.com/challenge/updating-knowledge-buddy/v1/ Task 2, step 5 (shown on the walkthrough video at about 40 seconds in)
Please check if it works after adding the authorized role, if not let me know and we will investigate the issue further.

Have you conducted any proof of concept (POC) on Knowledge Buddy?
We are considering exploring this tool for our projects and would like to understand more about its implementation
Additionally, could you please clarify whether a license is required for us to conduct a POC with Knowledge Buddy? If so, what are the steps and associated costs involved?
