Pega 8.4 Browser Compatibility between Edge Chromium and Google Chrome
We are planning to use Edge Chromium as a standard browser across the Organization and we will be deploying apps in Pega platform 8.4.1. We would like to understand whether this Pega platform version 8.4.1 is fully compatible with Edge Chromium.
We found below information from the documentation (https://community.pega.com/knowledgebase/articles/pega-platform-client-operating-system-and-browser-support) which doesn't provide confidence and not sure what functionality we would miss compared to Google Chrome (our current default browser).
Note#5 “Microsoft Edge Chromium has been tested on the following versions of Pega Platform:
• version 8.4: 8.4.3 and beyond
• version 8.3: 8.3.4 and beyond
• version 8.2: 8.2.7 and beyond
• version 8.1: 8.1.8 and beyond”
Chromium supported from 8.4.3 and beyond, even though it states it support 8.3 from version 8.3.4 and beyond seems it doesn't include all the versions 8.4. I am not sure how to read this and what is that 8.4.1 is not supported in Chromium that Google Chrome can support.
Please provide any feedback you may have on this.

I believe that Edge Chromium testing and support was added much more recently than Google Chrome & Microsoft Edge, which is why those browsers support more versions in the guide, where only the version in which the browser is tested and subsequent versions are listed.
Pega typically will support deployment on these later versions even if they are not explicitly listed in this guide. Also keep in mind that we encourage our clients to keep as current as possible with Pega products.
