Application migration from Edge Chromium in IE11 compat mode to pure Edge Chromium

If a robot has an adaptor which is automating an application in Edge Chromium running in IE11 compatability mode and the application is subsequently migrated to run on pure Edge Chromium will the existing adaptor still work or does the application need to be reinterrogated Thank you
