Output Template in Pega Marketing
I am facing a problem where I want to pass the filename dynamically in the template in Pega 7.2.2 and Pega Marketing 7.2.2. But it doesn't work and makes the file which is set in the filename box.
Does it support dynamic filenames or we always have to hardcode the names? We have the business requirement to pass the names dynamically so that it will avoid to have multiple templates.
Please help if anyone has implemented dynamic file names in output template.

Hi, This type of configuration is not supported OOTB, but if your requirement is to generate the file based on a date/time stamp, you can probably use the "Extension" point activity in the advanced tab of the file template rule to make a copy of the file during the finalization process.
For example you can have a recurring daily schedule based finalization process and during the finalization process you can copy the generated file name to your own file name based on date/time stamp. The landing pages and other configurations would still refer to the static file name, but you can send a different file name (which you copied) to your down stream systems based on what you copied.
You will have just write the "copy file to different name" code in your finalization activity.

Thanks @Sriram for your response. Basically, the requirement is to generate the file based on the name of the offer flow (which is the name of the proposition.) I will try to extend the activity to achieve the outcome.
