Marketing DB Table for Output DB Template is not inserting into existing table
Hi,
We have scenario, to write the campaign output into our own table.
We have created a DB template and mapped into our own table. After we run the campaign with those DB template using the "Generic Treatment" shape and mention the DB template name.
After we run the campaign getting below error.
Critical
Failed to create output table: TestDBTemplate
Review and update the campaign to resolve this issue and re-run the Seed Test.

Can you clarify if you created the target table too ?
For DB templates, you should not / need not do that.
You should just define the list of fields in the DB template, give a name to the table in the template rule, and let the run time create the table for you based on the template definition.
The run time will create the table in the configured marketing schema before inserting the records.
If you have not created the table and still seeing the error, you need to contact support (by opening an SR) with full exception stack trace in the logs etc.
One hunch could be permission issues in the schema etc., but only detailed logs could explain that.

Hi CK,
We have application table(MICIA21_CMPGN_OFFR_HIST), we want to append the campaign output into those table.
Attached screenshot for your reference and when we refer the DB template on the Shape, the campaign failed and shown the above error.

You still did not reply my original question - was this table created by you in the back end through a CREATE TABLE script ? If so, you will have to drop that and let the DB template run time do that for you.
If you did not create the table and still seeing the issue - then we need to see detailed logs why it is failing. So support SR will be the way to go in that case.

Yes, those table we created in the back-end and we need to use them and append our records into the exisiting table.

Hi Anandh,
Depending upon the Pega Marketing version, there are additional columns in the DB table managed by template runtime (like GUID's)
If you have not matched your manually created table to comply to that structure and do not have DROP / Create permissions etc - then it would result in failures like these.
Please open a support SR to have Pega support have a detailed look at your use case and suggest the right approach.

We found the issue after we mentioned the new table name and its creating on the runtime and making those column.
