Is it possible to direct migrate from UI-Kit to cosmos react
Hello ,
Can anyone please help me to understand if it is possible to migrate directly from UI-kit to cosmos react or first we need to move from UI-Kit to theme Cosmos and then from theme cosmos to cosmos react.
Currently we are using 8.6 with UI-Kit as built on application.
In future if we plan to include patch of 8.7 then is it possible to do the change directly from UI-Kit to cosmos react?
I went through few articles of cosmos react and I know that we have only views in cosmos react so what will happen to our sections? Do we need to manually do modification in sections to change them to templates?
Please let me know your suggestion and if it is possible to migrate directly from UI-Kit to cosmos react?

You can migrate from UI-KIT directly to Cosmos React. It is the recommended way. The reason being that the effort of migration from Theme Cosmos to Cosmos React is of comparable effort and thus it would safe you the extra step.
You are correct that sections no longer exist, as such you would need to rebuild the UI in views and it would be a manual process. This is true for 8.7.
Currently we only recommend going Cosmos React on 8.7 if you are building a complete new application as there is no migration kit available yet. The migration kit is estimated to come in 8.8 and we therefor recommend existing application wether on UI-KIT or Theme-Cosmos to stay on their current UI architecture.
