Issue with tracer

We are facing issue with tracer in pega 8.1 , it give error can not open new session even when tracer window is closed after first use. Attached are the step tried to resolve this issue.

Hi  ,

I have faced similar  issues in the past  when i close the tracer without stopping it. 

so  always made it a habit to stop the tracer and then close the window .

Even if I stop the tracer and close, I am facing this issue. I am logging off and log in again or doing Terminate trace.

Private Edit activity pzStartTracerSession in class Data-TRACERSettings, Delete steps 2 to 6, Save rule and test the usecase.
