Image Viewer tool not working in Chrome due to Silverlight compatability issues

Hi,

We want to incorporate the OOTB Image Viewer tool in our application (Pega version 7.1.9). This functionality woks well in IE 11 borwser. However, we encountered Silverlight compatability issues when we tried the same on the Chrome browser. After looking for an alternative solution to this issue, we came across this PDN link https://pdn.pega.com/support-articles/cannot-install-silverlight  which suggests to update registry entries for Silverlight. We have made the registry updates, but the problem still persists in Chrome.

Has anyone faced a similar situation. If yes, could you please let me know the workaround for handling this issue.

Silverlight is not supported in Chrome 45 and later.
