Displaying image with Pega Image Viewer

In one usecase , we are retrieving a list of documents ( say TIFF/JPEG images ) from an external service . Now we got a new requiremnent to show the content of the image using an image viewer.

Can we make use of pega image viewer in this scenario??

I have gone through this article already. For files that are attached to the case , we can make use of image viewer .

But in my case, the images are not attachment . They are retrieved fromt the service and we are not attaching it to case . Have anybody implemented this ?

not sure...(dynamic creation of rule-file-binary ...?) or custom control ... sorry please ... no idea!
