If Email Delivery fails, In Pega is there anyway to capture it. Can Pega check and capture successful email delivery notification?
If a user is sending mail to recepient but that email id (syntax wise correct) doesn't exists or not yet created. For such email IDs if Email Delivery fails, In Pega is there a way to capture it.

@Moumita Dasgupta How are the emails sent? If they are sent via a case they would usually be attached to the case and the status of the email can be checked.

@BhanuPrakash_G If its attached to the case, it will not have the delivery status of recipient. It will only have the status of the email server, where mail sent from Pega to Mail server. We are looking for something similar behavior that Outlook does where it tells if the mail sent to a email id successfully or it failed to deliver.

can create an email listener to listen to the same email box and see if an undeliverable email comes
Problem in that approach: Pega doesn't listen to Undelivered email

Hi @MDGCONNECT: Sending a email can fail because of many reasons
- Failure occurred when PEGA is connecting to the the email server. In this case you should be able to handle this in your logic using proper exception handling.
- Failure occurred when email exchange is not able to deliver the email (variety of reasons like mailbox full / invalid email id etc). In this case you will get a Delivery status failed notification back to the sender. You can configure a listener to the sender email account and enable DSN ( in process tab of listener rule, enable Process delivery status notifications (DSNs) ). Then you can write your own logic how to handle it in your service method.
