A person may have the email address " Proprietary information hidden" - and for a distribution list, the address might be " Proprietary information hidden". Syntactically, there is no difference ...

The semantics of an otherwise valid email address are not checked within the email client (in your case inside your Pega application) but on the receiving side. And there it is possible that someone enabled a configuration setting that (some) distribution lists cannot be addressed from external senders. Also the definition of what an "external sender" is can be configured on the receiving side.

Therefore you should check whether the respective distribution list is available from your private gmail account (or wherever you have a private email account). If this does not work either, the problem is not within your Pega application.
