How do we determine the thresholds for PEGA0017 alerts?
Our apps are in Pega 7.1.8 and we have been seeing PEGA0017 alerts continuously logged in ALERTS log. Threshold is 30,000 that is set by default.
Below pdn link advises to suggest the thresholds as below. How do we determine the thresholds for this? Would like to find a way to determine a way as configuring threshold to some maximum value would also negatively impact system performance
Purpose: prconfig/collections/mru/propertyreference/instancecountlimit/default
Value: 200000
Purpose: prconfig/declaratives/fragments/instancecountlimit/default

Can you try add following dynamic system settings, restart server and see if that helps?
Pega-Engine • prconfig/declaratives/declarepages/instancecountlimit/default (set to 3000)
Pega-Engine • prconfig/declaratives/fragments/instancecountlimit/default (set to 5000)
Feel free to increase the property reference cache to 500,000. Largest I have set this cache to is 1 million.
To diagnose cache usage, use System Management Application advanced/Reports link and run
- MRU cache report
- Factory Report (look for the PropertyReference pool data that includes estimate of actual property reference pool storage)
If you fin that your property reference pool is "never big enough" open a support ticket to get diagnostic hotfix to dump the cache table of contents to disk so that it is possible to determine why the application has so many unique fully qualified property names.
