How to display "Remaining Characters" in Text Box control.

Hi,

We have a requirement to display Remaining characters counter in text box control. This counter comes OOTB in Text Area control. Is there a way to have it in text box also?

Hi,

 

Counting characters is not available OOTB in text input. You can customize it using custom scripts. This however brings the challenge of having another DOM element on the UI that can be tough to maintain.

Alternatively, you can rather block the default behavior of the unwanted keys functionality while the text area is focused. Please write a custom script "onFocus" of that textarea.

There are several examples on the web, please check and implement accordingly.
