We are currently trying to create functionality that involves checking across 4 separate text areas for a character count. We want to limit characters across all 4 text areas to a max of 400 shared between them.
However when it comes to programming the functionality we are using data transforms in an action set using the "Any Key" trigger to calculate what the remaining max characters are, and manually setting a .RemainingCharacters property to be displayed on the section. This is causing some fairly sizeable lag and rubberbanding issues. If we could perform a single calculation and set a property to be used in the max character field we could make use of the OOTB Display Remaining Characters radio button.
I have attached an image of how I would expect to use this as it would be handy. Is there an easier way to achieve this functionality or is there any way we could request this as a feature?
-Kind Regards, Matt =)

@MatthewR3806 can create a new property which will hold characters/contents from of all 4 text areas on change to any of the 4 text areas, and on the new property can set Max Length value to 400 , in Advanced Tab-->Max Length of that new property.
Pega will pop up error when the property length will exceed 400 characters. Can validate this solution by once implementing it.
