How to create Dynamic folders in Alfresco using CMIS based on case type
Hi,
I want a create Dynamic folders in Alfresco using CMIS integrator and I am able to establish the connection with Alfresco and able the save the files as well. But any file I am uploading it is getting saved in a selected folder but I want to create Dynamic folder in Alfresco based on my case type. Can anyone suggest me the approach how to achieve this scenario.

Hi LeelaKrishna,
There looks to be some REST API available to create folders and also upload files in those folders. These API allows you to pass the name of the directory to create and to upload files as well. Depending on your case type you can pass the directory name. Please check few links for more information.

Hi,
Can anyone suggest me how to use this mentioned REST API to create dynamic folders in Alfresco based on Case types. Every where I have seen we can use. REST API to create Dynamic folders, but I am looking how to this API in to my scenario.

The rest api here: https://api-explorer.alfresco.com/api-explorer/#!/nodes/createNode is only available for Alfresco version 5.2+. You can set nodetype to the casetype. Suggest you try it outside pega first using soapui or postman rest client (in general easier to experiment), once you have that you can create connect-rest in pega to implement.

Actually I have tried the REST API using soapui for the latest version of Alfresco. The rest url should look like this:
http://<host>:<port>/alfresco/api/-default-/public/alfresco/versions/1/nodes/-my-/children
using json body (name should map to your folder name, which can be based on case type)

API explorer I mentioned above is a very powerful tool, you can experiment with either soapui or postman first.
You can see the outcome using the management console login as the user invoking the rest call:

Thank you so much, I am able create folders/sub folders in Alfresco using POSTMAN. Now will I try REST service in PEGA to create the folders in Alfresco.
