Create Folders in Alfresco
Hi,
I want to create folders in Alfresco, for example - today's date is Year 2017, Month 01 and Date 31.
I need to create folder 2017 then inside 2017 create a new folder 01 and then inside 01 create 31.
Can we do this with Pega-Alfresco integration.
I am using Pega 7.2.1. Also if this cannot be done in pega, can we write a Java code to create the folder structure and then use Connect-CMIS to store it in the desired structure.

HI Jagadish,
I am afraid you can not create folders in Alfresco from PRPC using CMIS. From PRPC we can put files in any pre created folders. But if alfresco allows any java API or service [soap/rest] for the similar functionality then you can create connectors and try the same.
Please let me know if there is any follow up question on this.

We can create the folders in Alfresco using some Java API.
My question is - Even if I am able to do that, how do I tell Pega to use that directory to store document. Because the directory will change based on case id and date.

Dont think you can not change the directory setting on the fly and based on your logic using CMIS. Because in CMIS we select folder to store the document as part of CMIS connector and it is not possible to change it.
Sorry for my ignorance if my suggestion does not serve your purpose, but based on my googling I could see there are REST API available to create folders and also upload files in those folders . These API allows you to pass name of directory to create and to upload files as well. Please check few links for more information.
