How can screen flow be a starter flow in pega 8.5?
Hello community,
As per my learning screen low cannot be a starter flow and it cannot create a work object. But I can see that starter flow is getting created as screen flow in Pega 8.5 by default when we create a case type.
1. Can someone help me in understanding what's happening here?
2. Also, I want to know how can we replace default screen flow with process flow
3. before Pega 8.5, pystartcase is the initialization flow that is getting called from pydefault case type rule which is responsible for the execution of stage in case type but I cannot find pystartcase flow in pydefault case type in Pega 8.5. then how is execution happening now?

Hi Mahith,
You can replace the screen floe with process flow. DO as instructed below.
- Create a new flow of standard type
- Open the pyDetault of your case type
- Replace the createflow with newly created flow.
If you observe carefully, previously we are only having Primary stage and Alternative stages. But now there is a new stage called initialization stage.

Thanks for the information. but how can the starter flow be the screen flow here?
And what about pystartcase flow. i cannot see this flow getting created after creation of case type.
