Going backwards in a case
Hi everyone,
as I understand this is not possible but I still wanted to ask if there is a workaround or so. Is it possible to go backward in the stages? For example, if a form is submitted for approval but I need to change a field's input. Can I go back and change it? Or do I have to start from scratch?

Usually these type you will get in Screen flow. But in Screen flow only you can alter between steps.

Hi @MandyH16596524, There are multiple ways to do this.
- You can have a approval / rejection shape where the user can reject the case. If rejected, move it to appropriate stage.
- You can use change stage Flow action to move between stages
- In your assignment you can add appropriate Connectors and flow action to navigate the flow.
- You can use the case wide local action "pyUpdateCaseDetails".
It is not recommended to update the case details without changing the ownership.

Please go with Process flow/ Screen Flow; else if the step needs to be rerouted on specific when conditons/work status you could configure a ticket for the flow, this would resolve your issue. If its a onetime thing from the backend, you could use the property set in activity to update the values from the backend. Thanks.
