Hi @MurthyG17188927,
- Flow Action: A flow action allows a user to complete an assignment by progressing the work object to the next step in the workflow. It usually involves making decisions, updating data, and moving the case forward.
- Local Action: A local action is used to perform actions on a work object without progressing it in the workflow. These actions can include updating details, attaching documents, or sending notifications. Local actions are typically used for auxiliary tasks that do not impact the main flow.

Mamatha.

Connector flow action — Completes the current assignment and advances the flow to the next shape in the sequence. Connector flow actions are configured on the line shapes, or connectors, in a flow that exit assignment shapes.
Local Flow Action— Leaves the current assignment open and does not advance the flow. Local flow actions are configured on assignment shapes.

A local action does not progress the flow from the current assignment (You can think of it almost like a flow action that starts and ends from the same assignment shape), while a flow action will complete the current assignment and move the flow forward.

A flow action advances the case workflow, allowing it to progress . In contrast, a local/Optional action does not advance the case; instead, it renders a user interface that allows the user to perform a specific action. Local action examples: Change Stage, Transfer Assignment, Send email, etc...

- Flow Action:
A flow action controls how users interact with user forms to complete assignments. After selecting one flow action, users may fill in a section of the form to complete (perform) the assignment.
Which allows us to perform an action on an assignment, and it moves the case from the current assignment to the next level in the flow by completing the current assignment.
- Local Action:
It allows us to perform an action on the assignment, but still, WO/Case will be there on the same assignment, and the assignment will not be completed.
Local flow actions are always optional. Users may perform none, one, or multiple local flow actions, or repeat a local flow action multiple times.
Example: Attaching a note is a local flow action.
If you configure the local action-only assignment level, it will only be visible when that particular assignment is reached. (it will not be visible any more), Based on the requirements, we can configure multiple local actions.
We can configure the local action in 5 ways, as mentioned below.
--> If you configure the local action as an assignment level, it is visible only in the particular assignment.
-->If you configure the local action as a process or flow level, it will be visible throughout the process or flow.

--> If you configure the local action as stage level, it will be visible throughout the stage.
Note: One stage may contain many processes.
--> If you configure the local action as a case-wide action, it will be visible throughout the case.
Just click on the action menu and see local action details.
--> Control Events
I hope this will help you.
Thanks,
